Baltic Aviation Academy’s Flight Training Organization aircraft fleet was supplemented with a four-seat, single-engine, high-wing aircraft – a Cessna 172 which started to be used for the flight trainings since end of April. On the 23rd of April Baltic Aviation Academy has received plane’s registration and certification issued by the Lithuanian Civil Aviation Authority.

The aircraft is used for instrument (IFR) and night visual flight (NVFR) training performed during commercial (CPL) and airline transport pilot (ATPL) study programs. The objective of the Instrument flight training course is to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to operate airplanes under the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC).

‘The process of gaining a pilot license has many moments to be remembered – assimilating and comprehending the theory, flying the first solo flight, feeling that you are becoming self-independent as a professional. By expanding our training capacities we want to provide our students not only the high quality training, but also a great experience’, commented Indre Sveistryte, Head of Flight Training Organization at Baltic Aviation Academy.

At the moment the Flight Training Organization aircraft fleet consists of three two-seat, low-wing light Tecnam 2002 airplanes and a Cessna 172. Recently, the organization has acquired a new Tecnam P2006T/Cessna 172 flight and navigation procedures trainer (FNTP II).

Currently 49 students from Italy, Kenya, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Russia, Tajikistan, and Ukraine study at Baltic Aviation Academy’s Ab Initio School. The school offers private pilot license (PPL), commercial pilot license (CPL), The Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) modular and integrated courses, including distant computer-based study modules.
