The global aviation training provider, BAA Training, after a whole year of negotiations and audits, has received an approval from Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) for Ab Initio training. This approval states that BAA Training’s Ab Initio School complies with Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority’s regulations and is empowered to operate as the Approved Training Organization providing Commercial pilot license training courses for Vietnamese citizens.
Currently majority of pilots in Vietnam are trained by FAA or Australian standards and only now Vietnam began to focus on pilot training diversification. Therefore, after rigorous auditing BAA Training has been issued the approval and will be able to provide Vietnamese citizens EASA standard pilot training. “The first students will be “the ice breakers” who will come for EASA training and open up further cooperation between the two countries,” commented Vytautas Jankauskas, Cadet Program Manager at BAA Training.
Lately, Vietnamese airlines are seeking to expand the number of pilots with EASA qualification licenses into their crews to increase training diversity and ensure quality control. This is already a second approval that BAA Training received from Vietnam as Airbus A320 type rating with multi-crew cooperation (MCC) training approval was acquired last October.
BAA Training is known as aviation training solutions provider working in the field for over 20 years. It is able to meet Ab Initio Rotary and Fixed wing pilot training, Type Rating pilot training, Cabin Crew training, Ground Handling, Flight Dispatcher training and even Drone training needs.
