Global aviation training provider BAA Training started providing pilot training for India’s pilots. Six pilots already started ATR 42/72 pilot type rating theory training at BAA Training headquarters in Vilnius, while the flight training will be delivered in Vienna (Austria) where the full flight simulator is located.
For the past three years BAA Training has been intensively working towards its global expansion to Asia and Middle East regions. As the result of that, company acquired a number of corporate clients in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Nepal, Myanmar, Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and other Asia and Middle East countries. Asia and Middle East regions provided almost 20% of BAA Training revenue in the past two years. Due to the successful expansion, academy has rebranded from the local Baltic Aviation Academy to the global aviation training provider BAA Training.
“India maintains the need of pilot professionals: the numbers for pilot shortage in Asia keeps increasing with every year, such
airlines as Indigo and Jet Airways ordering over 300 units of Airbus and Boeing aircraft just proves, that there is no time to waste talking about the future aviation personnel. Investing in pilot training today, will help to avoid aircraft grounding situations in the nearest future”, comments Ms. Egle Vaitkeviciute the CEO at BAA Training.
