CAAV-Approved ATO
BAA Training Vietnam is an Approved Training Organization (ATO), recognized by the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV), earning the trust of region-wide airlines.

TRI Course Structure
The TRI course provides comprehensive training through classroom instruction and practical sessions, ensuring pilots are fully qualified to teach future pilots.
Teaching & Learning
25 hours of theory are focused on:
- The learning process;
- The teaching process;
- Training philosophies;
- Techniques of applied instruction;
- Student evaluation and testing;
- Training program development;
- Human performance and limitations relevant to flight instruction;
- Specific hazards involved in simulating systems failures and malfunctions in the aircraft during flight;
- Training administration.
The practical phase consists of Technical Training, Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA), and Evidence-Based Training (EBT), simulator training, right-hand seat qualification, and Assessment of Competence.
Entry Requirements
Pilots must meet specific criteria to enroll in the program. These requirements ensure that all students have the foundational skills and experience needed to fully benefit from the training.
License
Valid CPL, MPL, or ATPL pilot license on the applicable aircraft category
Ratings
Valid Type Rating/Instrument Rating (IR) on the corresponding aircraft
Flight Time
1,500 flight hours as a pilot on a multi-crew aircraft
Other
Completed 30 route sectors*, including take-offs and landings as a PIC or co-pilot on the applicable aircraft type within 12 months preceding the date of application
*15 sectors out of 30 may be completed in the FFS representing that type of aircraft.
